Mathematical models of steady-state biofilteration are discussed. The theoretical results are much useful for the design of biofilters. This model is based on the system of non-linear reaction/diffusion equations contains a non-linear term related to Monod ki…

The mass of the neutrino has received considerable attention since the 1930s. In spite of heavy investment of resources, human and material, the problem has remained unsolved. As an application of the geometrical theory of science, we give in this paper a for…

Fractional order calculus can represent systems with high-order dynamics and complex nonlinear phenomena using few coefficients, since the arbitrary order of the derivatives provides an additional degree of freedom to fit a specific behavior. Numerous mathema…

A standard part of the calculus curriculum is learning exponential growth models. This paper, designed to serve as a teaching aid, extends the standard modeling by showing that simple exponential models, relying on two points to fit parameters do not do a goo…

In this paper we consider a nondivergent elliptic equation of second order whose leading coefficients are from some weight space. The sufficient condition of removability of a compact with respect to this equation in the weight space of Holder functions was f…

An inequality describing the difference between Gamma and Gaussian distributions is derived. The asymptotic bound is much better than by existing uniform bound from Berry-Esseen inequality.

Homoclinic bifurcation with one orbit flip, two inclination flips and resonance in the tangent directions of homoclinic orbit is considered. By studying the associated successor functions constructed from a local active coordinate system, we prove the existen…
Tiansi Zhang, Deming Zhu
One orbit flip and two inclination flips bifurcation is considered with resonant principal eigenvalues. We introduce a local active coordinate system to establish bifurcation equation and obtain the conditions when the original homoclinic orbit is kept or bro…

The Robin problem for the Helmholtz equation in normal-polar shells is addressed by using a suitable spherical harmonic expansion technique. Attention is in particular focused on the wide class of domains whose boundaries are defined by a generalized version…

The finite element solution of a generalized Stokes system in terms of the flow variables stream function and vorticity is studied. This system results from a time discretization of the time-dependent Stokes system in stream function-vorticity formulation, or…

The goal of this journal is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in different areas of applied mathema… All articles are open access under a CC BY 4.0 licence, with authors retaining copyright.
Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
