Applied Mathematics (AM) is an international journal dedicated to the latest advancements in applied mathematics. The goal of this journal is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in different areas of applied mathema…
Verónica De Jesús Romo, Eliane R. Rodrigues, Guadalupe Tzintzun
In this work we consider a stochastic volatility model, commonly used in financial time series studies, to analyse ozone data. The model considered depends on some parameters and in order to estimate them a Markov chain Monte Carlo algorithm is proposed. The…
Percy H. Brill, Myron Hlynka
We consider a variant of M/M/1 where customers arrive singly or in pairs. Each single and one member of each pair is called primary; the other member of each pair is called secondary. Each primary joins the queue upon arrival. Each secondary is delayed in a s…
Nam K. Kim, Mohan L. Chaudhry, Bong K. Yoon, Kilhwan Kim
We consider a discrete-time multi-server finite-capacity queueing system with correlated batch arrivals and deterministic service times (of single slot), which has a variety of potential applications in slotted digital telecommunication systems and other rela…
Ali Alkenani, Rahim Alhamzawi, Keming Yu
The selection of predictors plays a crucial role in building a multiple regression model. Indeed, the choice of a suitable subset of predictors can help to improve prediction accuracy and interpretation. In this paper, we propose a flexible Bayesian Lasso and…
Barnabé Tang Ahanda, Jean Gérard Aghoukeng Jiofack, Romain Germain Nzangué, Gilbert Hapi Mbiakop
This document presents an extension of the multiple factorial analysis to symbolic data and especially to space data. The analysis makes use of the characteristic coding method to obtain active individuals and the reconstitutive coding method for additional i…
Andrew Bartlett, William McCormick
Consider a first-order autoregressive processes , where the innovations are nonnegative random variables with regular variation at both the right endpoint infinity and the unknown left endpoint θ . We propose estimates for the autocorrelation parameter f and…
Ya. I. Alber, C. E. Chidume, Jinlu Li
We study iterative processes of stochastic approximation for finding fixed points of weakly contractive and nonexpansive operators in Hilbert spaces under the condition that operators are given with random errors. We prove mean square convergence and converge…
Djilali Ait Aoudia, Francois Perron
In this paper, we propose a new class of discrete time stochastic processes generated by a two-color generalized Pólya urn, that is reinforced every time. A single urn contains a white balls, b black balls and evolves as follows: at discrete times n =1,2,…, w…
Jorge Garcia, Ana Meda
In this paper we examine the large deviations principle (LDP) for sequences of classic Cramér-Lundberg risk processes under suitable time and scale modifications, and also for a wide class of claim distributions including (the non-super- exponential) exponent…
Malvina Vamvakari
Recently, Kyriakoussis and Vamvakari [1] have established a q -analogue of the Stirling type for q -constant which have lead them to the proof of the pointwise convergence of the q -binomial distribution to a Stieltjes-Wigert continuous distribution. In the p…

Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
