In this paper, the optimization of quantizer’s segment threshold is done. The quantizer is designed on the basis of approximative spline functions. Coefficients on which we form approximative spline functions are calculated by minimization mean square error (…

In this paper, we propose a modified centered climbing algorithm (MCCA) for linear programs, which improves the centered climbing algorithm (CCA) developed for linear programs recently. MCCA implements a specific climbing scheme where a violated constraint is…

In this paper we consider three problems in continuous multi-criteria optimization: An application of the Berge Maximum Theorem, properties of Pareto-retract mappings, and the structure of Pareto sets. The key goal of this work is to present the relationship…

The objective of this research was to determine the best combination of extrusion process variables for the production of a high antioxidant extruded amaranth flour (EAF) suitable to elaborate a nutraceutical beverage. Extrusion operation conditions were obta…

In this paper, a new augmented Lagrangian function with 4-piecewise linear NCP function is introduced for solving nonlinear programming problems with equality constrained and inequality constrained. It is proved that a solution of the original constrained pro…

As part of a research activity at Politecnico di Torino, aiming to develop multi-disciplinary design procedures implementing nature inspired meta-heuristic algorithms, a performance design optimization procedure for helicopter rotors has been developed and te…

In this paper, new sufficient optimality theorems for a solution of a differentiable bilevel multiobjective optimization problem (BMOP) are established. We start with a discussion on solution concepts in bilevel multiobjective programming; a theorem giving ne…

We present an optimal control model of three stages of resources allocation for managing invasive species. Three types of temporal uncertainty are considered, involving the timing of discovery of an invasive pest, the timing of an induced technology developme…

In this paper we generalize the single-period Markowitz Mean-Variance portfolio selection problem. The Markowitz’s model requires that after choosing the number of each security which constructs the portfolio in the beginning of the investment period, these n…

The problem of finding a global minimum of a real function on a set S Rn occurs in many real world problems. Since its computational complexity is exponential, its solution can be a very expensive computational task. In this paper, we introduce a parallel alg…

The goal of this journal is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in different areas of applied mathema… All articles are open access under a CC BY 4.0 licence, with authors retaining copyright.
Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
