In conjugate gradient method, it is well known that the recursively computed residual differs from true one as the iteration proceeds in finite arithmetic. Some work have been devoted to analyze this behavior and to evaluate the lower and the upper bounds of…

Fractal geometry provides a new insight to the approximation and modelling of experimental data. We give the construction of complete cubic fractal splines from a suitable basis and their error bounds with the original function. These univariate properties ar…

This paper introduces a novice solution methodology for multi-objective optimization problems having the coefficients in the form of uncertain variables. The embedding theorem, which establishes that the set of uncertain variables can be embedded into the Ban…

In this paper, we propose a retrospective filter trust region algorithm for unconstrained optimization, which is based on the framework of the retrospective trust region method and associated with the technique of the multi-dimensional filter. The new algorit…

Two mathematical crystallization models describing structure formations in instability zones are proposed and justified. The first model, based on a phase field system, describes crystallization processes in binary alloys. The second model, based on a modifie…

In this paper, we present and analyze modified families of predictor-corrector iterative methods for finding simple zeros of univariate nonlinear equations, permitting near the root. The main advantage of our methods is that they perform better and moreover,…

A non-orthogonal predefined exponential basis set is used to handle half-bounded domains in multi domain spectral method (MDSM). This approach works extremely well for real-valued semi-infinite differential problems. It spans simultaneously wide range of expo…

Many real world networks change over time. This may arise due to individuals joining or leaving the network or due to links forming or being broken. These events may arise because of interactions between the vertices which occasion payoffs which subsequently…

The main objective of the present investigation is to study the vibration of visco-elastic parallelogram plate whose thickness varies parabolically. It is assumed that the plate is clamped on all the four edges and that the thickness varies parabolically in o…

The problem of determining the hyperbolic equation coefficient on two variables is considered. Some additional information is given by the trace of the direct problem solution on the hyperplane x = 0. The theorems of local solvability and stability of the sol…
