Standing on a different view point from Anderson, we prove that the extended Wiener process defined by Anderson satisfies the definition of the Wiener process in standard analysis, for example the Wiener process at time t obeys the normal distribution N (0, t…

In this review article, we revisit derivation of the cumulative density function (CDF) of the test statistic of the one-sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. Even though several such proofs already exist, they often leave out essential details necessary for proper…

In this study, we explore the interesting phenomenon of firing spikes and complex dynamics of Morris-Lecar model. We consider a set of parameters such that the model exhibits a wide range of phenomenons. We investigate the influences of injected current and t…

In this paper, we introduce the study of the general form of stochastic Van der Pol equation (SVDP) under an external excitation described by Gaussian white noise. The study involves the use of Wiener-Chaos expansion technique (WCE) and Wiener-Hermite expansi…
Okey Oseloka Onyejekwe, Yohannes Demiss Belete, Nahom Alemseged Worku
The work presented herein investigates the velocity, heat transfer, Nusselt number and skin friction profiles involved in boundary layer flow past a moving vertical porous plate. Similarity transformations are employed to convert the governing nonlinear unste…

The cell differentiation in multicellular eukaryotes is one of the most curious phenomena. The recent gene and genome sequencing reveals that most of differentiated cells in a multicellular eukaryote carry a common genome and that such a genome contains the e…

We have used model scaling so that the propagation of light through space could be studied using the well-known nonlinear Schr ö dinger equation. We have developed a set of numerical procedures to obtain a stable propagating wave so that it could be used…

In this study we use a boundary integral element-based numerical technique to solve the generalized Burger-Fisher equation. The essential feature of this method is the fundamental integral representation of the solution inside the problem domain by means of b…

Applied Mathematics (AM) is an international journal dedicated to the latest advancements in applied mathematics. The goal of this journal is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in different areas of applied mathema… All articles are open access under a CC BY 4.0 licence, with authors retaining copyright.
Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
