We consider a wavelet-based solution to the stochastic heat equation with random inputs. Computational methods based on the wavelet transform are analyzed for solving three types of stochastic heat equation. The methods are shown to be very convenient for sol…

In Kenya, the Ministry of Education has set the pass mark for university entry examination as C plus and above. Using publicly available data for 2006-2010, differences in KCSE performance amongst the three types of schools in Kenya—boys only, girls only, and…

Let be a subfractional Brownian motion in . We prove that is strongly locally nondeterministic.

Let be a fuzzy stochastic process and be a real valued finite variation process. We define the Lebesgue-Stieltjes integral denoted by for each by using the selection method, which is direct, nature and different from the indirect definition appearing in some…

In this paper, we show a fixed point theorem which deduces to both of Lou’s fixed point theorem and de Pascale and de Pascale’s fixed point theorem. Moreover, our result can be applied to show the existence and uniqueness of solutions for fractional different…

We obtain explicit expressions for one unknown thermal coefficient (among the conductivity, mass density, specific heat and latent heat of fusion) of a semi-infinite material through the one-phase fractional Lamé-Clapeyron-Stefan problem with an over-specifie…

In this paper, we implement the spectral collocation method with the help of the Legendre poly-nomials for solving the non-linear Fractional (Caputo sense) Klein-Gordon Equation (FKGE). We present an approximate formula of the fractional derivative. The Legen…
William W. S. Chen
In this paper, we used two different algorithms to solve some partial differential equations, where these equations originated from the well-known two parameters of logistic distributions. The first method was the classical one that involved solving a triply…

The bilinear generating function for products of two Laguerre 2D polynomials with different arguments is calculated. It corresponds to the formula of Mehler for the generating function of products of two Hermite polynomials. Furthermore, the generating functi…

In 2007-2008, the writer’s guild of America went on strike in order to receive a better outcome from management. We built a game to analyze the situation. The Nash equilibrium of that game says that the writers should not strike and that management should mai…
