Objectives: In grade III-IV breast cancer, dissemination of disease needs to be assessed. Until now this was done by conventional imaging (liver ultrasonography, chest X-ray and bone scintigraphy), but evidence favoring the use of FDG-PET/CT is accumulating.…
Gauke K. Lammers, Jan Paul Esser, Pieternel C. M. Pasker, Marina E. Sanson-van Praag, John M. H. de Klerk
Introduction: The aim of the study was to assess the role of I-124 PET/CT in the prediction of uptake of a therapeutic dosage I-131 during follow-up of patients with differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC). Methods: The results of 34 I-124 PET/CT scans performed…

Having a parent affected by late-onset Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a major risk factor for cognitively normal (NL) individuals. This study explores the potential of PET with 18 F-FDG and the amyloid- β (A β ) tracer 11 C-Pittsburgh Compound B (PiB) for detect…

Backgrounds and Purpose — In indolent non-Hodgkin lymphoma, histological transformation is a dramatic event which reduces the prognosis significantly. SUVmax values from FDG-PET/CT help differentiate between aggressive and indolent lymphomas, and transformed…

The huge congenital intracranial teratoma is very rare. We report a case of a 77 years old male with giant congenital brain teratoma without clinical symptoms. His computed tomography (CT) scan showed a massive tumor (6 × 5 × 6 cm) of irregular high density (…

To the best of our knowledge no multicenter studies have been published using standard ized semi-quantitative evaluation of [ 123 I] FP-CIT scan (DAT-SPECT). The aims of this study were: 1) to cross-com pare semi-quantitative software-assisted evaluations of…

Background: There is emerging evidence that the increased susceptibility to developing alcohol and substance use dis - orders in those with a family history of Alcohol Dependence (AD) may be related to structural differences in brain cir cuits that influence…
Radko Krissak, Martin Elgert, Björn Kusch, Ralph Hünerbein
Purpose: The K-edge of gold (81 keV) is located within the energy range of diagnostic CT. This might be advanta geous for material differentiation in dual-energy CT (DECT). The aim of this in vitro study was to compare the differ entiation between iodine or g…
Baki Hekimoğlu, Hasan Aydin, Volkan Kızılgöz, İdil Güneş Tatar, Ali Rıza Ugan, İrem Paker
Purpose : To predict the diagnostic performance of combined use of T2- weighted imaging (T2W) - diffusion weighted MRI (DWI) and apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC)-proton MR spectroscopy (H-MRS) for the detection of prostate cancer, correlated to histopatho…

The visualization of symmetric structure by [ 18 F]-FluoroDeoxyGlucose-Positron Emission Tomography (FDG-PET), corresponding to adipose density in computed tomography (CT), has led to the idea that Brown Adipose Tissue (BAT) could be present in adult human. T…

Advances in Molecular Imaging is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes original research articles, review articles, case reports, and clinical studies in all areas of molecular imaging: All articles are open access under a CC BY 4.0 licence, with authors retaining copyright.
Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
