In this paper, we consider the wave equation with zero order term. We use the compactness uniqueness argument and some result of I. Lasiecka and D. Tataru in [4] to prove, directly, the exponential decay rate of the perturbed energy.

In this work we introduce a function based on the well-known Besicovitch-Eggleston sets, and prove that the Hausdorff dimension of its graph is 2.

We establish a common fixed-point theorem for six self maps under the compatible mappings of type (C) with a contractive condition [1], which is independent of earlier contractive conditions.

Let|<i>Bnp</i>|,1<<i>p</i><∞ , be the volume of the unit <i>p</i>-ball in <i>Rn</i> and <i>q</i> the Hölder conjugate exponent of <i>p</i>. We represent the volume product |<i>Bnp</i>| |<i>Bn<s…

Let <i>X</i> be a ringed space together with the data <i>Μ</i> of a set <i>Μ</i> of prime ideals of ΟΧx for each point <i>x∈Χ</i> . We introduce the localization of (<i>X,M'</i>) , which is a locally ringed space <i>Y</i> and a map of ri…

A theorem of Maurer-Cartan type for Lie algebroids is presented. Suppose that any vector subbundle of a Lie algebroid is called interior differential system (IDS) for that Lie algebroid. A theorem of Frobenius type is obtained. Extending the classical notion…

For a family of meromorphic functions on a domain D, it is discussed whether F is normal on D if for every pair functions <i>f</i>(z),<i>g</i>∈<i>F</i> , <i>f</i>'–<i>af</i>nand <i>g</i>'–<i>ag</i>n share value <i>d</i> on D when n=2,3,…

We determine the left eigenvector of a stochastic matrix <i>M</i> associated to the eigenvalue 1 in the commutative and the noncommutative cases. In the commutative case, we see that the eigenvector associated to the eigenvalue 0 is (<i>N</i>1,<i>N…

In this paper, we consider two extended model equations for shallow water waves. We use Adomian’s decomposition method (ADM) to solve them. It is proved that this method is a very good tool for shallow water wave equations and the obtained solutions are shown…

The Monty Hall problem has received its fair share of attention in mathematics. Recently, an entire monograph has been devoted to its history. There has been a multiplicity of approaches to the problem. These approaches are not necessarily mutually exclusive.…
