EPE, a monthly journal, publishes research and review articles in all important aspects of electric power engineering and other professionals involved in the electric power industry. Both experimental and theoretical papers are acceptable provided they report important findings, novel insights, or useful techniques in…
Han Chen, Chunlin Guo, Jianting Xu, Pengxin Hou
Nowadays with the improvement in the degree of emphasis on new energy, the wind power system has developed more and more rapidly over the world. Usually the wind plants are located in the remote areas which are far from the load centers. Generally series comp…
Ge Jin, Xiaomei Chen, Yongxin Feng, Shaoxiang Deng, Hanting Yan, Zexiang Cai
As the existing coordinated control strategies between grid and unit have limitations in isolated power system, this paper introduces new coordinated control strategies which can improve the stability of isolated system operation. This paper analyzes the powe…
Zhaoou Song, Junyong Liu, Youbo Liu, Masoud Bazargan, Wuxing Liang
This paper presents an adaptive Under Frequency Load Shedding scheme based on Wide Area Measurement System. Due to the lack of enough adaptability to the operation state of the system, the traditional successive approximation under frequency load shedding met…
Ziyong Zhang, Zhijian Hu, Yukai Liu, Yang Gao, He Wang, Jianglei Suo
The paper demonstrates the possibility to enhance the damping of inter-area oscillations using Wide Area Measurement (WAM) based adaptive supervisory controller (ASC) which considers the wide-area signal transmission delays. The paper uses an LMI-based iterat…
Kai Liao, Zhengyou He, Bin Sun, Yong Jia
This paper modeled a doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) - based offshore wind farm integrated through a voltage source converter –based high voltage direct current (VSC-HVDC) transmission system, which is collected with infinite bus for small signal stabil…
Shahrukh Adnan Khan, Rajprasad K. Rajkumar, Rajparthiban K. Rajkumar, Aravind CV
This paper gives performance analysis of a three phase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG) connected to a Vertical Axis Wind Turbine (VAWT). Low speed wind condition (less than 5 m/s) is taken in consideration and the entire simulation is carried in…
Bin Sun, Zhengyou He, Yong Jia, Kai Liao
This paper focuses on the small-signal stability of power system integrated with DFIG-based wind farm. The model of DFIG for small-signal stability analysis has built; the 3-generator 9-bus WECC test system is modified to investigate the impacts of large scal…
Kazuma Hanada, Takataro Hamajima, Makoto Tsuda, Daisuke Miyagi, Takakazu Shintomi, Tomoaki Takao, Yasuhiro Makida, Masataka Kajiwara
In order to use effectively renewable energy sources, we propose a new system, called Advanced Superconducting Power Conditioning System (ASPCS) that is composed of Superconducting Magnetic Energy Storage (SMES), Fuel Cell-Electrolyzer (FC-EL), hydrogen stora…
Dan Li, Haiming Zhou, Fumin Qu
Limited conventional energy and environmental issues have become increasingly prominent, so it has been more national attention to environmental protection and renewable new energy. The world's growing demand for energy, and the limited reserves of convention…
Yang Hu, Jizhen Liu, Zhongwei Lin
With the popularization of wind energy, the further reduction of power generation cost became the critical problem. As to improve the efficiency of control for variable speed Wind Turbine Generation System (WTGS), the data-driven Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inferenc…

EPE, a monthly journal, publishes research and review articles in all important aspects of electric power engineering and other professionals involved in the electric power industry. Both experimental and theoretical papers are acceptable provided they report important findings, novel insights, or useful techniques in… All articles are open access under a CC BY 4.0 licence, with authors retaining copyright.
Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
Declare all funding sources, conflicts of interest, and ethical approvals (including informed consent and animal-care statements where applicable).
