EPE, a monthly journal, publishes research and review articles in all important aspects of electric power engineering and other professionals involved in the electric power industry. Both experimental and theoretical papers are acceptable provided they report important findings, novel insights, or useful techniques in…
Wei Guo, Dong-mei Zhao
This paper studies about the mechanical part of wind turbine and wind generator operation stability.1) It makes a comparative study of two control methods for maximum power tracking: curve fitting method and hill climbing algorithm, sets up improved control m…
Jianfeng Wang, Dongmei Zhao
It is of great importance to study the characteristics of wind power output for the healthy and secure & stable of power grid. Based on the actual operating data, the probability distribution of the power fluctuations of the wind farm in Hainanand the variati…
J. C. Wang, X. R. Wang
The fluctuation of active power output of wind farm has many negative impacts on large-scale wind power integration into power grid. In this paper, flywheel energy storage system (FESS) was connected to AC side of the doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) win…
W. Z. Gandhare, S. C. Hete
Wind generation is being increasingly connected at distribution level due to increasing load demand. Permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) is connected to the wind turbine directly. Through the full power control of AC-DC-AC converters, the electrical…
Jie Wei, Zhenyu Lin, Nian Liu
Analyzing the wind turbine with a direct-driven PMSG, this paper proposes a low voltage ride through scheme of PMSG wind power systems based on feedback linearization. The DC-Link voltage is controlled by the generator-side converter rather than the grid-side…
Yongchun Liang
High temperature superconductor (HTS) technology enables a significant reduction in the size and weight of MW-class generators for direct-drive wind turbine systems and reduce the cost of clean energy relative to conventional copper an permanent-magnet-based…
Tinghui Ouyang, Xiaoming Zha, Liang Qin
At home and broad, more wind power is being installed in electricity markets, the influence brought by wind power become more important on power system stability, especially the fluctuation, the uncertainty in wind power production and multi-time scale of the…
Zhi-wei Wen, Li Ding, Shi-en He
To analyze the factors which affecting transient stability of power system, the dynamic model of doubly-fed induction generator and direct-drive PM synchronous generator has been built using PSCAD. Impact of different wind farm integration on grid typically i…
C. Wongkhorsub, N. Chindaprasert
Creating a sustainable energy and environment, alternative energy is needed to be developed instead of using fossil fuels. This research describe a comparison of the use of pyrolysis oils which are the tire pyrolysis oil, plastic pyrolysis oil and diesel oil…
Shen Wang, Yulei Xie, Ye Tang, Hongkuan Zang, Zhe Wang
An interval linear traffic planning model is developed for supporting vehicle emissions limited under uncertainty . The interval linear traffic planning model can address uncertainties of traffic system and vehicle emissions related to system costs and limita…

EPE, a monthly journal, publishes research and review articles in all important aspects of electric power engineering and other professionals involved in the electric power industry. Both experimental and theoretical papers are acceptable provided they report important findings, novel insights, or useful techniques in… All articles are open access under a CC BY 4.0 licence, with authors retaining copyright.
Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
Declare all funding sources, conflicts of interest, and ethical approvals (including informed consent and animal-care statements where applicable).
