International Journal of Astronomy and Astrophysics (IJAA) is an international scientific journal dedicated to the publication and public discussion of high quality original research in all the fields of astrophysics and space sciences and related technology. All the manuscripts must be prepared in English and are sub…

Recently, interest in the planet Proxima b has increased following indications that liquid water may be present there. The literature has reported measurement data for the radiation spectrum of the star Proxima Centauri as received by this planet, together wi…

Most matter in the Universe is in a “dark matter” form that has only been observed through its gravitational interaction. How warm is this dark matter? A new constraint has become available thanks to the observations of the line-of-sight velocities of individ…

The standard cold dark matter ΛCDM cosmology model is a triumph of modern physics. However, it predicts an excess of isolated dwarf galaxies in the field. Warm dark matter is an alternative that reduces the predicted number density of dwarf galaxies. We obtai…

An equation of motion in the presence of a drag force proportional to the velocity is derived in the framework of alternative relativity. The results allow modeling the trajectory of SN 1993J and its light curve in four different astronomical bands.

We have performed self-consistent, three-dimensional, continuum radiative transfer modeling in the disk of HD 100546. Following observations and previous work, the model includes gaps in the disk. The model also includes variations in dust size, composition,…

Comet 3I/Atlas shows all the signs of being a comet escaping from a distant planetary system, probably from above the disc of the galaxy, and traversing through the inner solar system. The emitted dust coma and tail could carry genetic material that may possi…

The release of the VAST catalog for the effective radius of cosmic voids has produced a large quantity of data that ask to be analysed with old and new probability distributions. We tested two families of distributions: the lognormal and the Kiang function. I…

The equation of time is the difference between the apparent (sun observed) time and the modern day uniform time. This paper explains what causes the Equation of Time to arise. It is shown that it arises from the Earth orbit ellipticity and its axial obliquity…

We measure the “warmness” of the dark matter, i.e. the comoving root-mean-square thermal velocity v h rms ( 1 ) , with nearly 3000 spiral galaxy rotation curves in the PROBES catalog. The results are v h rms ( 1 ) = 700 ± 165 m/s if dark matter is collisional…

This paper investigates the equations of motion of each of the four-point masses that form a kite configuration of the second kind, relative to the remaining three, which are established in a synodic frame in terms of position vectors, mass parameter and mean…

Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
