International Journal of Astronomy and Astrophysics (IJAA) is an international scientific journal dedicated to the publication and public discussion of high quality original research in all the fields of astrophysics and space sciences and related technology. All the manuscripts must be prepared in English and are sub…

In modern astrophysics, it is believed that galaxies are not expanding. The authors of the article set out to investigate the motion of Globular Clusters (GC) of the Milky Way relative to the plane and center of the Galaxy. The study yielded the following res…

We live in a new era of space exploration where robotic spacecraft can be sent out to deep space and retrieve samples of our moon, planets, and icy moons for direct return to Earth. These sample return missions are now mounted by diverse international space a…

The gamma function is a good approximation to the luminosity function (LF) of galaxies, and an exponentiated gamma distribution would permit a more rigorous analysis. This paper examines the exponentiated gamma distribution and its double truncation. The new…

We model the energy depletion of light from a distant object with two components: loss in photon rates (number of photons) and loss per photon particle. We model the rate loss based on intergalactic extinction, which, unlike extinctions within our local group…

A limit on the expansion parameter a h NR at which dark matter becomes non-relativistic has been obtained from the observed minimum halo mass hosting Milky Way satellites. This limit is in disagreement with measurements. In the present study, we attempt to un…

The Standard Model of quarks and leptons is a great achievement. However, this model is incomplete: it does not include the observed dark matter, neutrino masses and mixings, the matter-antimatter asymmetry of the universe, the current acceleration of the exp…

In order to introduce left and right truncated versions of the modified lognormal with a power-law distribution, we derive its probability density function, its distribution function, its average value, its second moment of the origin, its variance, how to ra…

In this paper, we re-examine a wide range of evidence for comets as carriers and distributors of life in the cosmos. The significance of a recent probable detection of dimethyl sulphide (DMS) as a potential biomarker has been challenged on the basis of its di…

Recent observations by Mistele et al . show that the circular velocity curves of isolated galaxies remain flat out to the largest radii probed so far, i . e ., ≈1 Mpc. The velocity decline beyond the expected virial radius is not observed. These results imply…

Aims: The expansion of the Universe and gravitation are considered different fundamental properties of the cosmos. We explore whether they are connected and propose an equation that links and unifies them. This equation describes the expansion of space as rel…

All the manuscripts must be prepared in English and are sub… All articles are open access under a CC BY 4.0 licence, with authors retaining copyright.
Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
Declare all funding sources, conflicts of interest, and ethical approvals (including informed consent and animal-care statements where applicable).
