The inverter is used as the power supply of modern permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). The inverter may produce harmonics in inversion process and form harmonic currents in motor stator winding which can lead to factors against motor smooth operation s…
Dipali Soren, Rowdra Ghatak, Rabindra Kishore Mishra, Dipak Ranjan Poddar
In this paper, a wideband Sierpinski carpet patterned cylindrical Dielectric Resonator Antenna (DRA) operating in the X-Band is proposed. This DRA is realized from low cost Teflon. An impedance bandwidth of 50% is obtained cove- ring the entire X-band with si…
Mustapha Zaouia, Nacereddine Benamrouche, M'hemed Rachek
In this paper, we propose an electromagnetic-mechanical model based on the finite element and Macro-Element (ME) technique to analyse and study the dynamic characteristics of a Tubular Linear Switched Reluctance Stepping Motor (LSRSM). After the resolution of…
Zenglu Song, Tsutomu Yamada, Hideki Shitara, Yasushi Takemura
Eddy current testing is a nondestructive testing method, which is used to detect discontinuities and defects in conductive materials. Using this technique, two different types of artificial defects in a railhead were evaluated in order to analyze the relation…

Among the factors slowing down the production of the electric vehicles in big series, we mention the problem of weak autonomy directly bound to the weak storage capacity of the batteries. In this context, this paper describes a strategy of power chain vector…
Ali Zamani, Ahmad Mirabadi
Considering the importance of axle counter function in detecting the train wheels and determining the clearance or occupancy of a track section, it is important to ensure a safe and reliable performance of this system. In this paper, in order to improve the s…
Naibiao Zhou, Kefu Liu
A novel vibration isolator is constructed by connecting a mechanical spring in parallel with a magnetic spring in order to achieve the property of high-static-low-dynamic stiffness (HSLDS). The HSLDS property of the isolator can be tuned off-line or on-line.…
Ahmed Shaker, Saber Helmy Zainud-Deen, Kurany Ragb Mahmoud, Sabry Mohamed Ibrahem
A small-sized, low-profile, and planar dual band antenna for Bluetooth (2.4 - 2.484 GHz) and ultra-wideband (UWB) (3.1 - 10.6 GHz) with multi-band notched antennas is presented. Two antennas A and B with different types of slots are used to obtain tri-band no…
Hamed Gorginpour, Hashem Oraee, Richard A. McMahon
Brushless Doubly-Fed Machine has attracted considerable attention in recent years due to its advantages. It has the robustness of the squirrel cage induction machine, and the speed and power factor controllability of the synchronous machine as well as the abs…

Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
