A. Einstein and H.A. Lorentz had found that the mass of an accelerated body traveling at relativistic velocity appears to depend on whether the acceleration is performed in the direction of motion or in a transverse direction. E.P. Epstein rejected this resul…

The striking differences and similarities between the “Spanish-flu” of 1918 and the Coronavirus disease of 2019 (COVID-19) are analyzed. Progress in medicine and technology and in particular the availability of vaccines has decreased the death probability fro…

In the relativistic mechanics, we obtain a difference between the time scale of a one-dimensional motion having a larger velocity and the time scale of a similar motion with a lower velocity. This calculation does involve usually also the differences of param…

By applying the relevant contents of time-dependent perturbation theory in present quantum mechanics, this paper operates the Hamiltonian operator on the existing steady-state wave function of the hydrogen atoms, creates the formula of the average energy loss…

Paraphrasing Descartes: A Life form entity “ thinks ” therefore it exists. Our research method is to take evolution to be change or adjustment in order for the entity to “survive.” Such evolutionary “adjustments” are expected to occur after the Life form enti…

It is shown how to build a simple but exact theory of a relativistic Fermi gas at 0 ° K, which is based in a recently reported analytic formula for the energies of a relativistic spin-0 particle in a box. A white dwarf star is then simulated as a sphere f…
Huanhuan Luo, Zhanwu Bai
This study investigates the diffusive motion of a Brownian particle in a 2D tilted periodic potential, where bias force is exerted in the x direction. The dimension effect is revealed by simulating the Langevin equation. The diffusion coefficient in x and y d…

The intriguing Koide relation between lepton masses, , involving electron mass m e , muon mass m μ , and tau mass m t , was first presented in 1982. The reason why Q 1 ≈ 2/3 has long been unclear. However, describing Standard Model fermions as sphere…
Dirk J. Pons
Context: The existing literature on particle motion at the fundamental level is sparse. Particles, whether classical or quantum, are assumed to move with a continuous (even if uncertain) velocity. Purpose: The work prospects for a descriptive theory of partic…
Leif Matsson
The Standard Model for particle physics is here extended by making a non-equilibrium filling of the empty vacuum after the start of Big Bang. The process is described as an unstable binding of massless quarks to massless antiquarks. When the filled part of va…

Journal of Modern Physics is an international journal dedicated to the latest advancements in modern physics. The goal of this journal is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in different areas of modern physics. All… All articles are open access under a CC BY 4.0 licence, with authors retaining copyright.
Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
