JSIP is an international refereed journal dedicated to the latest advancements in signal and information processing. The goal of this journal is to keep a record of the state-of-the-art research and promote the research work in the areas. This journal invites original research and review papers that address the follow…
Nuri Yilmazer, Wonsuk Choi, Tapan Sarkar, Sunmeel Bhumkar
In this paper, a multiple beamforming technique is presented by using a direct data domain least squares (D3LS) approach. Direct data domain approach is very suitable for real time applications since it utilizes only a single snapshot of data as opposed to st…

Previously, fault diagnosis of fixed or steady state mechanical failures (e.g., pumps in nuclear power plant turbines, engines or other key equipment) applied spectrum analysis (e.g., fast Fourier transform, FFT) to extract the frequency features as the basis…
Rachid Abbadi, Jamal El Abbadi
The most commonly used transmission channel in nowadays provides the same level of protection for all the information symbols. As the level of protection should be adequate to the importance of the information set, it is justified to use UEP channels in order…
Amit Dhawan, Haranath Kar
This paper studies the problem of the guaranteed cost control via static-state feedback controllers for a class of two-dimensional (2-D) discrete systems described by the Fornasini-Marchesini second local state-space (FMSLSS) model with norm bounded uncertain…
Iván Gómez-Conde, David Olivieri, Xosé Antón Vila, Stella Orozco-Ochoa
Gesture and action recognition for video surveillance is an active field of computer vision. Nowadays, there are several techniques that attempt to address this problem by 3D mapping with a high computational cost. This paper describes software algorithms tha…
Jianfeng Chen, Yuntao Wu, Hui Cao, Hai Wang
A fast algorithm for DOA estimation without eigendecomposition is proposed. Unlike the available propagation method (PM), the proposed method need only use partial cross-correlation of array output data, and hence the computational complexity is further reduc…
Liying Lang, Zuntao Hu
In the paper conventional Adaboost algorithm is improved and local features of face such as eyes and mouth are separated as mutual independent elements for facial feature extraction and classification. The multi-expression classification algorithm which is ba…

Many sampling formulas are available for processes in baseband (-a,a) at the Nyquist rate a/π. However signals of telecommunications have power spectra which occupate two bands or more. We know that PNS (periodic non-uniform sampling) allow an errorless recon…

In recent years, the use of Fuzzy set theory has been popularised for handling overlap domains in control engineering but this has mostly been within the context of triangular membership functions. In actual practice however, such domains are hardly triangula…
Cong Wu, Koichi Harada
This paper presents a study on digitization of Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnosis. The research consists of two aspects: a) algorithms for blood vessels extraction in sclera-conjunctiva images, which can be applied in syndrome differentiation by observing…

Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
