JSIP is an international refereed journal dedicated to the latest advancements in signal and information processing. The goal of this journal is to keep a record of the state-of-the-art research and promote the research work in the areas. This journal invites original research and review papers that address the follow…
Behzad Bozorgtabar, Gholam Ali Rezai Rad
Increasing demand for a fast and reliable face recognition technology has obliged researchers to try and examine different pattern recognition schemes. But until now, Genetic Programming (GP), acclaimed pattern recognition, data mining and relation discovery…
Seiichi Nakamori, Raquel Caballero-Águila, Aurora Hermoso-Carazo, Josefa Linares-Pérez
This paper proposes recursive least-squares (RLS) l-step ahead predictor and filtering algorithms with uncertain observations in linear discrete-time stochastic systems. The observation equation is given by y(k)=y(k)z(k)+v(k), z(k)=Hx(k), where {y(…

Aim of this work is to analyze and to synthesize acoustic signals emitted by organ pipes. An Independent Component Analysis technique is applied to study the behavior of single notes or chords obtained in real and simulated environments. These analyses sugges…
Bushra Jalil, Fauvet Eric, Laligant Olivier
In the present work, a novel image restoration method from noisy data samples is presented. The restoration was performed by using some heuristic approach utilizing data samples and smoothness criteria in spatial domain. Unlike most existing techniques, this…
Sepideh Jabbari, Hassan Ghassemian
In this paper, a novel framework based on a time-frequency (TF) approach is proposed for detection of murmurs from heart sound signal. First, a high-resolution TF algorithm, matching pursuit, was used to decompose each heart beat into a series of TF atoms sel…
Jayakishan Meher, Mukesh Kumar Raval, Pramod Kumar Meher, Gananath Dash
Microarray data is inherently noisy due to the noise contaminated from various sources during the preparation of microarray slide and thus it greatly affects the accuracy of the gene expression. How to eliminate the effect of the noise constitutes a challengi…
Hikmat N. Abdullah, Alejandro A. Valenzuela
In this paper, the performance evaluation of Frequency Modulated Chaotic On-Off Keying (FM-COOK) in AWGN, Rayleigh and Rician fading channels is given. The simulation results show that an improvement in BER can be gained by incorporating the FM modulation wit…
Hani Nozari, Alireza Siamy
This paper presented a novel method on designing redundant dictionary from known orthogonal functions. Usual way of discretization of continuous functions is uniform sampling. Our experiments show that dividing the function definition interval with non-unifor…
Jyotsna Ogale, Samrat Ashok
Traditional designs for non-uniform filter bank (NUFB) are usually complex; involve complicated nonlinear optimization with a large number of parameters and lack of linear phase ([LP) property. In this paper, we describe a simple design method for multirate n…
Xianhua Zeng
This paper proposes an inner product Laplacian embedding algorithm based on semi-definite programming, named as IPLE algorithm. The new algorithm learns a geodesic distance-based kernel matrix by using semi-definite programming under the constraints of local…

Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
Declare all funding sources, conflicts of interest, and ethical approvals (including informed consent and animal-care statements where applicable).
