In the present investigation, the tensile properties of A356/Al2O3 nanocomposites at both ambient and elevated temperatures were studied. The A356/Al2O3 nanocomposites were fabricated using a combination between the…
Ronaldo D. Mansano, Ana Paula Mousinho
In this work, we studied the electro-optical properties of high-aligned carbon nanotubes deposited at room temperature. For this, we used the High Density Plasma Chemical Vapor Deposition system. This system uses a new concept of plasma generation: a planar c…
Pingli Hou, Sangmin Choi, Won Yang, Eungsoo Choi, Heejin Kang
In order to quantitatively predict the behavior of the material in the packed bed, a single particle model is developed to describe the combustion and sintering process inside an individual particle composed of multiple solid material fines, including iron or…
Siham Khedim, Nasr-Eddine Chabane Sari, Boumediene Benyoucef, Benyounes Bouazza
The transport properties of electrons in ZnTe and ZnSe are of great interest because of their numerous technological applications. This paper investigates several calculation results of Monte Carlo device simulation. The average quantities directly accessible…

A novel microstructural architecture consisting of Cr23C6 carbide spatial columns was created in solid components of Co-26Cr-6Mo-0.2C fabricated from powder by additive manufacturing using electron beam melting. These columns of carbides…
Jari Vartiainen, Ali Harlin
Chitosan-nanoclay bio-hybrid films were successfully crosslinked with glutaraldehyde, genipin and glyoxal. Moisture sensitivity of films decreased as a result of crosslinking which led to improved barrier properties against water vapor and oxygen. Films conta…
Ziaul Raza Khan, Mohd Shoeb Khan, Mohammad Zulfequar, Mohd Shahid Khan
Highly oriented and transparent ZnO thin films have been fabricated on ultrasonically cleaned quartz substrates by the sol-gel technique. X-ray diffraction, UV-VIS, FTIR, photoluminescence and SEM are used to characterize ZnO thin films. X-ray diffraction stu…
Liliana Giraldo, Juan Carlos Moreno-Piraján
Methane adsorption by different forms of activated carbon obtained from coffee husks, including monolith honeycomb and disc types, was studied by activation with zinc salts and potassium hydroxide at 298.15 K and 303.15 K and pressures up to 30.00 atm in a vo…
