The effectiveness and safety of the mouthguard are greatly affected by its thickness. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of thermal shrinkage of the extruded sheet on the mouthguard thickness depending on the amount of undercut of the model.…
Clara Teixeira de Oliveira, Maria Inês Bruno Tavares
A derivation of the nanoprecipitation technique without the presence of surfactants to reduce the nanoparticle size is herein proposed. The absence of surfactant in the nanoprecipitation technique allows capturing particles with a smaller diameter than nanopa…

Scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM) feedback mode has been used to investigate kinetics of dye regeneration in DSSC. Organic dye C343 and CW1 are used as sensitizers for nickel oxide (NiO) photoelectrochemical cells. The influence of film thickness on…
Fabrice Aymonino, Thierry Lebey, David Malec, Dominique Mary
This work deals with the understanding of the degradation of the primary insulation (PEI/PAI) of rotating machines working temporarily under high-temperature. The main domain of application of these motors is the smoke extraction either from tunnels or underg…
Jerome K. Butler, Maria Martinez, Reyhane Kilci, Gary A. Evans
A modified approach closely related to the Drude, Lorentz-Drude and Brendel-Bormann theories is developed to fit the experimental data of the optical properties of metals. This work, while simplifying and redefining the parameters of previous models, can be d…
