New recycling alternative for multilayer films was successfully presented. Food packaging formed from different materials is difficult to recycle. The use of aluminum, glass, paper, paints, varnishes, and other materials in the rolling processes from plastic…
Tomoji Ohishi, Yoshimi Yamazaki
The effects of excimer light irradiation on polysilazane coatings formed on PET films with vacuum-evaporated SiO 2 coatings and the effects of these coatings on gas barrier characteristics have been investigated. The temperature during light irradiation has a…
Neilo Marcos Trindade, Ana Regina Blak, Elisabeth Mateus Yoshimura, Luis Vicente de Andrade Scalvi, Rosa Maria Fernandes Scalvi
The investigation of electrical properties in alexandrite (BeAl 2 O 4 :Cr 3+ ) in synthetic and natural forms is presented in this paper. Alexandrite is a rare and precious mineral that changes color according to the light incident on it. In the synthetic for…

Synthetic perovskites with photovoltaic properties open a new era in solar photovoltaics. Due to high optical absorption perovskite-based thin-film solar cells are usually considered as fully absorbing solar radiation on condition of ideal blooming. However,…
Joseph Edward O’Connor, Sherif Michael
The record efficiency for a thin-film, single-junction solar cell has remained static at 28.8% since 2012. This research presents a unique design that demonstrates potential to exceed record efficiency and approach the theoretical efficiency limit of ~33.5%.…
Rafael P. Ferreira, Eden S. Silva, Carmem C. F. Nascimento, Samuel F. Rodrigues, Clodualdo Aranas Jr., Valdemar S. Leal, Gedeon S. Reis
The analytical approach and the thermomechanical behavior of a Cr-Ni-Mo-Mn-N austenitic stainless steel were characterized based on the parameters of work hardening ( h ), dynamic recovery (r ) and dynamic recrystallization ( n , t 0.5 ), considering constitu…
D. A. Sukhanov, N. V. Plotnikova
It is shown that the excess carbide phase in Wootz is of an unusual nature origin that differs from the excess phase of secondary cementite, ledeburite and primary cementite in iron-carbon alloys. It is revealed that the morphological features of excess cemen…
Tania Ariadna García-Mejía, Ma. de Lourdes Chávez-García
The influence of KOH concentration (8 and 12 M) and curing conditions as temperature (40 ℃ and 60 ℃ ), time (7 and 28 days) and relative humidity (85% and 95% RH), on compressive strength of metakaolin-based geopolymers (MK-based GP) was evaluated. Derived fr…
