The study is focused on the phenomenon of diffusion of water through the shells of two coconut species (coconut nucifera) of Cameroun. The kinetics absorption of water was studied experimentally by the gravimetric method with discontinuous control of the mass…
Paulo Sérgio Rangel Cruz da Silva, Lívia Rodrigues Menezes, Maria Inês Bruno Tavares
Spin-lattice and spin-spin relaxation times are one of the most attractive tools in the solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy to evaluate the level of clay dispersion in the nanocomposite matrices. The efficiency of the relaxation processes can…

The current work is devoted to the investigation of oxygen impact on the structure and properties of titanium. For this purpose, oxygen was introduced into titanium during chamber electro-slag remelting by three different methods: alloying by oxygen-rich resi…
Anthony Torres, Alex Burkhart
This study presents the development of high strength concrete (HSC) that has been made more sustainable by using both local materials from central Texas and recycled concrete aggregate (RCA), which has also been obtained locally. The developed mixtures were p…

Natural rubber based composites containing different carbon nanofillers (fullerenes, carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs)) at different concentrations have been prepared. Their dielectric properties (dielectric permittivity, dielectric lo…
Hassan Tajik Ghashghaei, Abolfazl Hassani
A study evaluating the relationship between porosity and permeability coefficient for pervious concrete (PC) is presented. In addition, the effect of mixture design parameters particularly, water-to-cement ratio (W/C) and size of aggregate on the permeability…

Materials Sciences and Applications (MSA) is an international journal dedicated to the latest advancements in materials. The goal of this journal is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in different areas of material… All articles are open access under a CC BY 4.0 licence, with authors retaining copyright.
Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
