Model averaging has attracted increasing attention in recent years for the analysis of high-dimensional data. By weighting several competing statistical models suitably, model averaging attempts to achieve stable and improved prediction. To obtain a better un…

Earlier analyses of transitions from licensed practical nurse (LPN) to registered nurse (RN) in the North Carolina (NC) nursing workforce in terms of 11 categorical predictors were limited by not considering parsimonious classifications based on these predict…

Approximate Bayesian Computation (ABC) is a popular sampling method in applications involving intractable likelihood functions. Instead of evaluating the likelihood function, ABC approximates the posterior distribution by a set of accepted samples which are s…

The commonly used statistical methods in medical research generally assume patients arise from one homogeneous population. However, the existence and importance of significant heterogeneity have been widely documented. It is well known that common and complex…

In this study, we developed multivariate model for the study of the impact of treasury single account (TSA) on the performance of banks in Nigeria. From the study, we discovered that there was no significant difference between the period before and after the…

Minimum quadratic distance (MQD) methods are used to construct chi-square test statistics for simple and composite hypothesis for parametric families of copulas. The methods aim at grouped data which form a contingency table but by defining a rule to group th…

Conditional Value-at-Risk (CVaR) is one of the commonly used risk measures. The paper shows t hat the optimal estimator of CVaR is strong consistency if the first-order moment of the population exists. We subsequently carry out numerical simulations to test t…

This paper proposes new methods of estimating missing values in time series data while comparing them with existing methods. The new methods are based on the row, column and overall averages of time series data arranged in a Buys-Ballot table with m rows and…

Quadratic distance methods based on a special distance which make use of survival functions are developed for inferences for bivariate continuous models using selected points on the nonegative quadrant. A related version which can be viewed as a simulated ver…

All… All articles are open access under a CC BY 4.0 licence, with authors retaining copyright.
Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
