We consider a modified version of the classical Cramer-Lundberg risk model. In particular, we assume two classes of insurance business dependent through the claim number process N i , i =1,2 : we consider that the number of claims is generated by a bivariate…

The Hardy-Weinberg Equilibrium (HWE) can be linked to game theory. This article shows that payoffs, or resource s , in a game with alleles as players, determine the frequency of homozygotes. The frequency of aa homozygotes in the HWE is an increasing function…

Most existing theoretical studies on home market effects depend crucially on assumptions of symmetric transportation costs and increasing returns to scale technology. In our model, we remove the home market effect assumptions from the main model used in the l…

This article presents an alternating offers game that supports a Kalai-Smorodinsky bargaining solution (KSS). It is well known that a solution to an alternating offers game has a breakdown point equivalent to a status quo that converges to its Nash bargaining…

This paper examines the effects of which spouse first decides in the intrahousehold decision on the time that each spouse devotes to the provision of a family good. Specifically, we adopt a dynamic approach by developing a super game, with the status quo bein…

Signaling games are characterized by asymmetric information where the more informed player has a choice about what information to provide to its opponent. In this paper, decision trees are used to derive Nash equilibrium strategies for signaling games. We add…

In the context of a simple equilibrium macro process we suggest a probability basis for recovering information regarding the unknown and unobservable micro process, and solving the resulting inverse problem.

Although some previous studies assert that the selection of a key currency is a kind of hysteresis dominated by contingencies, historical evidence suggests that this selection depends on the following two plausible and inevitable economic factors that this st…

We are interested in incentivizing experimental subjects to report their beliefs truthfully, without imposing assumptions on their risk preferences. We prove that if subjects are not risk neutral, it is not possible to elicit subjective probabilities or the m…
