The World Journal of Mechanics (WJM) will cover the general field of mechanics including the mechanics of solids, structures and fluids and their interaction. The goal of this journal is to provide an international forum for the publication and dissemination of original work which contributes to the understanding of t…

The present study deals with MHD (magneto hydrodynamics) mixed convection flow of a Casson fluid over an exponentially stretching sheet with the effects of Soret and Dufour, thermal radiation, chemical reaction. The governing partial differential equations ar…
Jakkula Anand Rao, Gandamalla Vasumathi, Jakkula Mounica
A numerical study on boundary layer flow behaviour, heat and mass transfer characteristics of a nanofluid over an exponentially stretching sheet in a porous medium is presented in this paper. The sheet is assumed to be permeable. The governing partial differe…

The purpose of this article is to develop a new methodology to evaluate the statistical characteristic of the response of structures subjecting to random excitation, by combining the Finite Element Method (FEM) with the Transforming Density Function (TDF). Un…

Herein, we present the results of our experimental investigation of splashes formed by a frog diving into water from the ground or from a leaf and the accompanying sound generated by the impact of the frog on the water. The experiments are performed by visual…

In this paper, the heat transfer effect on the steady boundary layer flow of a Casson fluid past a stretching surface in the presence of slip conditions was analyzed. The stretching surface is maintained at a constant temperature. The boundary layer conservat…

Seismic oscillations of the “building-building” system which is interconnected buildings built close to each other, and “building-stack-like structure” system which is adjacent and connected in different ways to existing building are considered in the paper.…

Two cylindrical vessels under internal pressure are used for this work in order to study the influence of the position and size of defects on their elastic and elastoplastic behavior. One contains two external longitudinal semi-elliptic defects of different d…
Mehdi Eshaghi, Rama Bhat
In this study, the influence of geometrical parameters on the curve veering phenomenon in a tor-sional system with stepped shaft is investigated. Three approximate solutions including finite el-ement, Rayleigh-Ritz and discretization methods, along with an ex…

Method of calculation and experimental estimation of crack growth resistance under cyclic elastoplastic deformation is proposed. This method is based on measuring of local plastic strain near the crack tip and plotting the cyclic elasto-plastic fracture diagr…

Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
