The World Journal of Mechanics (WJM) will cover the general field of mechanics including the mechanics of solids, structures and fluids and their interaction. The goal of this journal is to provide an international forum for the publication and dissemination of original work which contributes to the understanding of t…

The paper presents a quaternion approach of giving a closed form solution of the motion in a central force field relative to a rotating reference frame. This new method involves two quaternion operators: the first one transforms the motion from a non-inertial…

In the impact tests of soft materials, we sometimes observe a thorn shape in the rising segment of the impact force waveform. However, the reason for the occurrence of the thorn shape has not been made clear. In this study, thorn-shape waveforms of several so…

We consider the impact of drag force and the Magnus effect on the motion of a baseball. Quantitatively we show how the speed-dependent drag coefficient alters the trajectory of the ball. For the Magnus effect we envision a scenario where the rotation of the b…

In this study, we use a thin rotating plate to generate propulsion and lift for a paper plate. And the thin plate rotates along the spanwise axis. We numerically determine the influence on aerodynamic characteristics with a rotational velocity of the thin pla…

Most soft materials behave as if they were hardened when subjected to an impact force. The strain rate dependence of viscosity resistance is the reason for this behavior. The authors carried out drop impact tests on several types of soft materials under the c…

The purpose of this paper is to apply the theoretical model developed in References [1] 08D0C9EA79F9BACE118C8200AA004BA90B02000000080000000E0000005F005200650066003400310032003700320039003100350035000000 - [6] 08D0C9EA79F9BACE118C8200AA004BA90B0200000008000000…

The paper studies the motion of the Foucault Pendulum in a rotating non-inertial reference frame and provides a closed form vector solution determined by vector and matrix calculus. The solution is determined through vector and matrix calculus in both cases,…

This paper establishes asymptotic time dependences of characteristic sizes of astrophysical and cosmological objects. These dependences are obtained on the basis of uncertainty principle applied in cosmic scales in approximation of spherical symmetry in Eucli…

The present manuscript deals with theoretical and experimental studies of the effect of inclined scraper on removal raw cotton from mesh surface. The mathematical model of the problem and theoretical studies of the motion of cotton mass on plane of scraper is…

Nowadays, thin-walled super-diameter pipes are produced by the method of plastic bending of sheets. After a sheet is bent into a pipe and its ends are welded, a pipe billet is subjected to expansion deformation. The technology of forming end areas of a sheet…

Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
