The World Journal of Mechanics (WJM) will cover the general field of mechanics including the mechanics of solids, structures and fluids and their interaction. The goal of this journal is to provide an international forum for the publication and dissemination of original work which contributes to the understanding of t…

In this paper, homotopy analysis method (HAM) and Padé approximant will be considered for finding analytical solution of three-dimensional viscous flow near an infinite rotating disk which is a well-known classical problem in fluid mechanics. The solution is…

Resonance exhibits a dynamo mechanism of the Sun with an exotic behavior of a controlled thermonuclear fusion reaction in the presence of a magnetic mirror. A charged oscillator takes place of a periodic driving force so that the laser radiation is so intense…
Yuxin Sun, Jialing Yang, Yan Jiang
Thermoelastic damping of the axisymmetric vibration of laminated circular plate resonators is discussed in this paper. Based on the classical laminated plate theory assumptions, the governing equations of coupled thermoelastic problems are established for axi…

In this work, the effects of process parameters such as laser output power, beam diameter and scan speed and also sheet thickness on the bending angle have been numerically investigated in the laser bending process. For this purpose, Abaqus software is used f…

We have numerically and experimentally investigated the flow modes of Taylor-Couette system consisting of coaxial two cylinders with vertical axes. The inner cylinder rotates and the outer cylinder and the bottom end of the cylinders remain stationary. The up…

Despite its good physical properties, the glassy carbon material is not widely used, especially for structural applications. Nevertheless, its transparency to particles and temperature resistance are interesting properties for the applications to vacuum chamb…

Vacuum chambers must fulfil ultra-high vacuum requirements while withstanding thermo-mechanical loads. This is particularly true in high energy particle accelerator where interactions of particles with matter may induce thermal load, material activation, back…

The multi-physics simulation of coupled fluid-structure interaction problems, with disjoint fluid and solid domains, requires one to choose a method for enforcing the fluid-structure coupling at the interface between solid and fluid. While it is common knowle…

The Asymptotic Numerical Method (ANM) is a family of algorithms for path following problems, where each step is based on the computation of truncated vector series [1]. The Vector Padé approximants were introduced in the ANM to improve the domain of validity…
A. K. Tomilin, E. V. Prokopenko
An essentially new method for non-destructive testing of elastic electrically conductive rods using non-vortex electromagnetic induction is proved theoretically. An experimental technique for defining a location of a cross crack is offered.

The goal of this journal is to provide an international forum for the publication and dissemination of original work which contributes to the understanding of t… All articles are open access under a CC BY 4.0 licence, with authors retaining copyright.
Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
Declare all funding sources, conflicts of interest, and ethical approvals (including informed consent and animal-care statements where applicable).
