The World Journal of Mechanics (WJM) will cover the general field of mechanics including the mechanics of solids, structures and fluids and their interaction. The goal of this journal is to provide an international forum for the publication and dissemination of original work which contributes to the understanding of t…
Oluwamayowa A. Okeyoyin, Gbadebo M. Owolabi
This paper is concerned with the extension of a recently developed probabilistic framework based on Weibull’s weakest link and extreme-value statistics to aero-engine materials like titanium alloy and nickel-base super alloys using simulation strategies that…
Tao Jiang, Kezhen Huang
The structural and aerodynamic performance of the air inlet volute has an important influence on the performance of the gas turbine. On one hand, it requires the airflow flowing through inlet volute as even as possible, in order to reduce the pressure loss, t…

This paper explains the basic steps form the classical turbulence mechanics (CTM) to the postclassical turbulence me chanics (PCTM). When the CTM stems from the characterization of the motion states in the infinitesimal surroundings of the flowfield points by…
Nattan Roberto Caetano, Flávio Tadeu van der Laan
The structure of inert turbulent flows, stabilized in a Bluff-Body burner, is studied considering different volumetric flows for Nitrogen jet and annular air in coflow configuration. Flowfield analysis on Bluff-Body burner is essential to improve the knowledg…
F. M. Hady, R. A. Mohamed, Hillal M. ElShehabey
This work is focused on the effects of heat source/sink, viscous dissipation, radiation and work done by deformation on flow and heat transfer of a viscoelastic fluid over a nonlinear stretching sheet. The similarity transformations have been used to convert…
Sanjib Goswami, Wilfried Becker
A new displacement based higher order element has been formulated that is ideally suitable for shear deformable com posite and sandwich plates. Suitable functions for displacements and rotations for each node have been selected so that the element shows rapid…
Siddharth Gupta, Anupam Dewan
The aims of the present study are to predict and improve inclusion separation capacity of a six strand tundish by em ploying flow modifiers (dams and weirs) and to assess the influence of inclusion properties (diameter and density) to gether with velocity of…
Søren Heide Lambertsen, Lars Damkilde, Anders Schmidt Kristensen, Ronnie Refstrup Pedersen
In this paper the fatigue behavior of laser welded T-joints of stainless steel AISI304 is investigated experimentally. In the fatigue experiments 36 specimens with a sheet thickness of 1 mm are exposed to one-dimensional cyclic loading. Three different types…
Luis Alberto Pérez
In this paper, the author confirmed a new theory to explain the mechanical behavior of macroscopic bodies. The con firmed hypothesis is the Theory of Dynamics Interaction by the Professor Gabriel Barceló. Barceló explained his theory in an article called “Ana…

Steam injection is a most effective way for improving heavy oil recovery efficiency, and it has academic and practical significan ce for the mechanism of multi-field synergy oil displacement. Mechanism of “diversified” oil displacement which is obtained by tr…

Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
Declare all funding sources, conflicts of interest, and ethical approvals (including informed consent and animal-care statements where applicable).
