The World Journal of Mechanics (WJM) will cover the general field of mechanics including the mechanics of solids, structures and fluids and their interaction. The goal of this journal is to provide an international forum for the publication and dissemination of original work which contributes to the understanding of t…

We consider the problem of distributing the stress-strain state (SSS) characteristics in the body arbitrarily loaded on the outer surface and weakened by a physical cut with a thickness of δ 0 . It is assumed that δ 0 parameter is the smallest possible size p…

The pressure drop in a microchannel Fischer-Tropsch reactor was investigated by means of a fluid dynamics model developed by the authors. The developed model takes into account roughness of the microchannel wall induced by catalyst particle deposition on the…

In this study, we focused on the lift generation with a thin rotating plate. The objective of this study is to understand the appropriate shape and the role of vortex for rotating thin plate. We determined the shape of the plate through free-flight tests of p…

By combining a pair of linear springs we devise a nonlinear vibrator. For a one dimensional scenario the nonlinear force is composed of a polynomial of odd powers of position-dependent variable greater than or equal three. For a chosen initial condition witho…

When composite materials occur crack, their fibrous location s will produce bridging fibers. A symmetrical dynamic crack model of bridging fibers in unidirectional composite materials are not probed as deeply by virtue of the complexity, cockamamie and diffic…

Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) bone cement is a polymeric material that is widely used as a structural orthopedic material . However, it is not an ideal material for bone grafting due to its fragility. Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have been introduced in order to r…

Thermoelastic transient response of multilayered annular cylinders of infinite lengths subjected to known inner pressure and outer surfaces cooling are considered. A method based on the Laplace transformation and finite difference method has been developed to…

This paper considers the problem of controlling the rotational motion of an axi-symmetric rigid body using two independent control torques without angular velocity measurements. The control law which stabilizes asymptotically this motion is obtained only in t…

This research deals with the forward extrusion process of tubes. In this process, a piercing process was carried out on the billet to produce the tube, followed directly by a reduction in the wall thickness. A specific geometrical shape for the piercing zone…

This article proposes a simplified way to solve solid mechanic problems in micropolar elasticity using the solution found in the classic theory of elasticity as a starting point. In this study, an analysis of the linear isotropic micropolar elasticity is cond…

The goal of this journal is to provide an international forum for the publication and dissemination of original work which contributes to the understanding of t… All articles are open access under a CC BY 4.0 licence, with authors retaining copyright.
Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
Declare all funding sources, conflicts of interest, and ethical approvals (including informed consent and animal-care statements where applicable).
