The World Journal of Mechanics (WJM) will cover the general field of mechanics including the mechanics of solids, structures and fluids and their interaction. The goal of this journal is to provide an international forum for the publication and dissemination of original work which contributes to the understanding of t…

In this work, the estimation of crack initiation life of a hydraulic Francis turbine runner is presented. The life prediction is based on the local strain approach to predict the initiation life. First, the analysis is carried out in air and in water conditio…

Constitutive equations for melts and concentrated solutions of linear polymers are derived as consequences of dynamics of a separate macromolecule. The model is investigated for viscometric flows. It was shown that the model gives a good description of non-li…

This paper studies the flow structural interaction (FSI) within a hard disk drive (HDD) through the use of a novel coupling method. The interaction studied was the fluid induced vibration in the HDD. A two step coupling approach was used, where the fluid and…

Waves of finite amplitude on a thin layer of non-Newtonian fluid modelled as a power-law fluid are considered. In the long wave approximation, the system of equations taking into account the viscous and nonlinear effects has the hyper- bolic type. For the two…

In this work, a numerical solution of the incompressible Stokes equations is proposed. The method suggested is based on an algorithm of discretization by the unstable of Q1 – P0 velocity/pressure ?nite element approximation. It is shown…
Kenan Koser
The present study illustrates a series method for the solutions of one dimensional wave equation together with non-classical dynamic boundary conditions. Matheu-Hill form, a differential equation with polynomial form and Laguerre differential equation form dy…

At this article studies of nonlinear viscoelastic fluid with one internal tensor parameter flow between parallel planes under a constant pressure gradient, taking into account the slipping phenomenon on the boundary. Numerically depending found on the compone…

The free convection flow of radiating gas between two vertical thermally conducting walls through porous medium in the presence of a uniform gravitational field has been studied. Closed form solutions for the velocity and temperature have been obtained in the…

The surface instability of Kelvin-Helmholtz type bounded above by a porous layer and below by a rigid surface is investigated using linear stability analysis. Here we adopt the theory based on electrohydrodynamic as well as Stokes and lubrication approximatio…
Wubshet Ibrahim, Bandari Shanker
In this paper, the problem of unsteady laminar boundary-layer flow and heat transfer of a viscous income-pressible fluid over stretching sheet is studied numerically. The unsteadiness in the flow and temperature is caused by the time-dependent stretching velo…

Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
