Advances in Chemical Engineering and Science (ACES) is an international journal serving as a forum for the presentation of research and review papers dealing with all aspects of advances in chemical engineering and science. All manuscripts must be prepared in English and are subject to a rigorous and fair peer-review…

The transport of heavy and ultra-viscous oil employing the core-flow technique has been increasing recently, because it provides a greater reduction of the pressure drop during the flow. In this context, the effect of temperature and the presence of gas on th…

The Wells Placement Problem (WPP) consists in choosing well locations within an oil reservoir grid to maximize the reservoir total oil production, subject to distance threshold between wells and number of wells cap constraints. A popular approach to WPP is Ge…

A mesophilic-dry anaerobic digestion process is valid in treating high-concentration substrates containing low moisture content. It has merits of lower wastewater discharge and lower heat capacity required in maintaining reactor temperature as compared with a…

An enzymatic glucose biofuel cell uses glucose as fuel and enzymes as biocatalyst, to transform biochemical energy into electrical energy. An analytical modelling of an enzymatic biofuel cell should be used, while developing fuel cell, to estimate its various…

México has extensive areas that have been impacted by oil spills for several decades. Current bioremediation technologies mostly used microorganisms to decontaminate sites with hydrocarbons. This research evaluated the conditions for the optimal development o…

The correlations have been developed with the flash data to predict the multiphase flow and mass transfer in the oil wells designs. Therefore, the laboratory pressure/volume/temperature (PVT) reports require calculation of the flash Oil Formation Volume Facto…

The transport of oil and its derivates are done, mostly, by pipeline. The time to detect leaks has to be short for pre-venting big disasters in the nature and decreasing losses for industries. The techniques available for leak detection vary from visual inspe…

Advances in Chemical Engineering and Science (ACES) is an international journal serving as a forum for the presentation of research and review papers dealing with all aspects of advances in chemical engineering and science. All manuscripts must be prepared in English and are subject to a rigorous and fair peer-review… All articles are open access under a CC BY 4.0 licence, with authors retaining copyright.
Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
