Logistic regression models for binary response problems are present in a wide variety of industrial, biological, social and medical experiments; therefore, optimum designs are a valuable tool for experimenters, leading to estimators of parameters with minimum…

A short review is given of standard regression analysis. It is shown that the results presented by program packages are not always reliable. Here is presented a general framework for linear regression that includes most linear regression methods based on line…

Rivers are important systems which provide water to fulfill human needs. However, excessive human uses over the years have led to deterioration in quality of river causing, causing health problems from contaminated water. This study focuses on the application…

Several nondestructive assay (NDA) methods to quantify special nuclear materials use calibration curves that are linear in the predictor, either directly or as an intermediate step. The linear response model is also often used to illustrate the fundamentals o…

In 1673, Yoshimasu Murase made a cubic equation to obtain the thickness of a hearth. He introduced two kinds of recurrence formulas of square and the deformation (Ref.[1]). We find that the three formulas lead to the extension of Newton-Raphson’s method and H…

In this paper, stochastic processes developed by Aalen [1] [2] are adapted to the Nelson-Aalen and Kaplan-Meier [3] estimators in a context of competing risks. We focus only on the probability distributions of complete downtime individuals whose causes are kn…

This paper is devoted to studying the approximate solution of singular integral equations by means of Chebyshev polynomials. Some examples are presented to illustrate the method.
Kanayo Stella Eke, Johnson Olaleru
The notion of a G-symmetric space is introduced and the common fixed points for some pairs of occasionally weakly compatible maps satisfying some contractive conditions in a G-symmetric space are proved. The results extend and improve some results in literatu…

Complex variables method has been used to solve the first and second fundamental problems for an infinite plate weakened by a generalized curvilinear hole C . The curvilinear hole is conformally mapped on the domain outside or inside a unit circle γ using a g…

The shortest k-dimension paths (k-paths) between vertices of n-cube are considered on the basis a bijective mapping of k-faces into words over a finite alphabet. The presentation of such paths is proposed as ( n - k + 1)× n matrix of characters from the same…
