Buffon’s needle experiment was originally devised to get the value of π. With the advent of computers, Buffon’s needle algorithm has been used pedagogically as an example of Monte Carlo methods in introduction classes, and there are many Buffon’s needle algor…

In this paper, a nonautonomous eco-epidemiological model with disease in the predator is formulated and analyzed, in which saturated predation rate is taken into consideration. Under quite weak assumptions, sufficient conditions for the permanence and extinct…

Two of Maxwell’s equations of electrodynamics are: and , where E , B and are electric field, magnetic field, and electric charge density respectively. A fundamental question that the physics community is perplexed with since the 19C is this: Why the second of…
Haiyan Fan, Gangyao Kuang
This paper studies the problem of recovering low-rank tensors, and the tensors are corrupted by both impulse and Gaussian noise. The problem is well accomplished by integrating the tensor nuclear norm and the l 1 -norm in a unified convex relaxation framework…

In this paper, Daftardar-Gejji and Jafari method is applied to solve fractional heat-like and wave-like models with variable coefficients. The method is proved for a variety of problems in one, two and three dimensional spaces where analytical approximate sol…

In this article, we present approximate solution of the two-dimensional singular nonlinear mixed Volterra-Fredholm integral equations (V-FIE), which is deduced by using new strategy (combined Laplace homotopy perturbation method (LHPM)). Here we consider the…

In this article, we consider the three-dimensional fractional differential system of the form together with the Neumann boundary conditions, where are the standard Caputo fractional derivatives, . A new result on the existence of solutions for a class of frac…

The prime numbers P ≥5 obey a pattern that can be described by two forms or geometric progressions or that facilitates obtaining them sequentially, being possible also to calculate the quantity of primes that are in the geometric progressions as it is describ…

We present in this paper a new technique based on Gelfand’s triplet [1] and include differential theory to make a theoretical analysis of an optimal control problem with constraints governed by coupled partial differential equations. This technique allowed us…

We propose a new scalarization method which consists in constructing, for a given multiobjective optimization problem, a single scalarization function, whose global minimum points are exactly vector critical points of the original problem. This equivalence ho…
