Very Large Floating Structures (VLFS) have emerged as promising offshore solutions for energy production and logistics in the context of global decarbonization. However, despite extensive technical literature on their engineering feasibility, there remains a…
Lazarus Mwale, Bongane Nhlapo
The evacuation of bulk electrical power over long distances can be done mainly by high voltage alternating current (HVAC) transmission systems. However, where there are large water bodies and long distance between the generation source and demand centres like…
Orebanjo Olusesan, Dedacus N. Ohaegbuchi, Onyegbadue Ikenna Augustine, Izilein Fred Abiebhode
The increasing energy demand and initiatives to lower carbon emissions have elevated the significance of renewable energy sources. Photovoltaic (PV) systems are pivotal in converting solar energy into electricity and have a significant role in sustainable ene…

The efficient management of solar energy requires controllers capable of maximizing the power extracted from photovoltaic panels while ensuring optimum battery protection. This article presents the results of the design, realization and experimentation of a s…
Saria Abdelrazzak
This paper presents a new integrated design of solar-powered roads and an inductive charging system that would be specifically tailored to the unique climate conditions of the Gulf region. This study suggests a new multi-layered adaptive infrastructure model…
Lauron Arend, Alberto Fossa, Daniel Prata Vieira, Hirdan Katarina de Medeiros Costa, Xuefeng Hu, Junkai Feng, Edmilson Moutinho dos Santos
This paper explores the pivotal role of quality infrastructure (QI) in the development and implementation of innovative solutions for small-scale floating liquefied natural gas (ssm-FLNG) technology. As the global energy landscape shifts towards cleaner and m…

EPE, a monthly journal, publishes research and review articles in all important aspects of electric power engineering and other professionals involved in the electric power industry. Both experimental and theoretical papers are acceptable provided they report important findings, novel insights, or useful techniques in… All articles are open access under a CC BY 4.0 licence, with authors retaining copyright.
Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
