A new fully digital and home-built NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) spectrometer working at very-low magnetic field (4.5 mT) is presented. This spectrometer was initially dedicated for the in situ measurement of the absolute polarization of hyperpolarized 129…

Stability of the magnetic resonance (MR) contrast agent inside vascular occlusion agents is important for their localization with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The aim of this paper is to study the behaviour of the superparamagnetic iron oxide (SPIO) with…

Fast and satisfied medical ultrasound segmentation is known to be difficult due to speckle noises and other artificial effects. Since speckle noise is formed from random signals which are emitted by an ultrasound system, we can’t encounter the same way as oth…

In this work, we analysed 56 clinically failed and retrieved implants by means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and histological studies. The surface contamination was compared to that of unused control implants an…

A new star-hyperbranched poly(acrylic acid) has been synthesized and incorporated into dental glassionomer cement for enhanced mechanical strengths. The effects of arm number and branching on viscosity of the polymer aqueous solution and mechanical strengths…

The stem cells in the umbilical cord stroma, or Wharton’s jelly, are referred to as human umbilical cord mesenchymal stromal cells (hUCMSCs) and have been shown to differentiate along a chondrogenic lineage. The aim of this study was to evaluate the chondroge…
