Since the early 1950’s the use of Germanium has been continuously growing as new applications are being developed. Its first commercial usage as the main material, from which the semiconductors were made, was later replaced by Silicon. The applications were t…

It is known that the dense part of any liquid metal consists of ramified clusters of almost regular tetrahedrons (triangular pyramids with atoms in their vertexes) that are connected into chains by faces. Any metal additive as a second component of liquid all…

Freestanding membrane (FSM) of hydroxyapatite (HA) is a thin sheet of pure HA without any supporting substrates. Our original preparation process of FSM of HA had three steps: The first was the deposition of HA layer on sacrificial layer of solvent-soluble ma…

Using differential thermal analysis, X-ray phase analysis, electron microscopy, and optical microscopy, the nucleation of crystals in glass obtained by blending metallurgical slag with silicon dioxide has been studied. The type of crystallization (homogeneous…

To increase the biocompatibility of hydroxyapatite (HA), Ca 10 (PO 4 ) 6 (OH) 2 , the Sr substitution of Ca into the HA structure was effected to yield Ca 10- x Sr x (PO 4 ) 6 (OH) 2 (Sr-HA). For medical and dental applications, it is important that Sr-HA is…

The newly synthesized CdNa2?2C2O4?2H2O crystals having a size of 0.30 × 0.25 × 0.20 mm3 were grown by the single-diffusion reaction method in the silica gel medium at 28?C temperature. The crystalline nature of crystals was determined in 20 days by 1) varying…

Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
