In this paper proposes a Finite Element Methods analyzing applied to the linear tubular stepping actuator. The linear displacement is modeled by means of a layer of finite elements placed in the air gap. The design of the linear stepper motor for achieving a…

This paper examines the properties of wave propagation in transmission lines with periodic LC and CL cells, taking into account ohmic losses in resistors connected in series to lumped capacitors and inductors. First order time differential equations are deriv…

To overcome challenges of inhomogeneous transmit B 1 distribution and high specific energy absorption rate (SAR) in MRI, we compare slice-selective array-optimized composite pulse and RF shimming designed to both improve B 1 uniformity and reduce SAR using an…

This paper presents a novel architecture of combining the linear array of antenna elements, where each antenna element has digitally selectable true time-delays as weights. Use of time-delays for beam-formation inherently makes the phased array network a wide…

We propose a novel resonator that can reduce magnetic field leakage using a ferrite plate. The proposed resonator consists of a rectangular loop, a ferrite plate, and an L-matching network. The ferrite plate is used as an H-field reflector to direct more H-fi…

This paper describes the design and simulation by HFSS simulator of a probe-fed Planar Inverted-F Antenna (PIFA) for the use in GSM900 band [890 MHz - 960 MHz] and DCS1800 band [1710 MHz - 1880 MHz]. A methodology based on parametric simulations (parameters a…
Ruwaybih Alsulami, Heather Song
The design, fabrication, and characterization of the microstrip circular antenna arrays were presented. The proposed an tennas were designed for single band at 2.45 GHz and dual bands at 3.3 - 3.6 and 5.0 - 6.0 GHz to support WLAN/WiMAX applications. The prop…

Negative refraction is currently achieved by driving the magnetic permeability and electrical permittivity simultane ously negative. It is studied an alternative route to negative refraction without manipulating these parameters ( ε and μ ) on a chiral magnet…
Dhirendra Kumar, Asok De
In this paper an effective size reduction technique using fractal structure is suggested. The proposed technique has been applied on a band stop and a low pass filter separately. This technique provides 42% reduction of size for the band stop filter and about…

Short wire pairs are simple metamaterial structures. This structure includes a dielectric substrate with metal strips on both sides, of which the electric and magnetic resonant frequencies can be controlled by adjusting the length of the me tallic wires. Howe…

Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
