JSIP is an international refereed journal dedicated to the latest advancements in signal and information processing. The goal of this journal is to keep a record of the state-of-the-art research and promote the research work in the areas. This journal invites original research and review papers that address the follow…
Ping Zhang, Xi Guo, Jyotirmay Gadedadikar
In this paper, a novel online fingerprint verification algorithm and distribution system is proposed. In the beginning, fingerprint acquisition, image preprocessing, and feature extraction are conducted on workstations. Then, the extracted feature is transmit…

Background modeling is a technique for extracting moving objects in video frames. This technique can be used in ma-chine vision applications, such as video frame compression and monitoring. To model the background in video frames, initially, a model of scene…

The present work introduces an extension to three-dimensional Particle Tracking Velocimetry (3-D PTV) in order to investigate small-scale flow patterns. Instead of using monochrome particles the novelty over the prior state of the art is the use of differentl…

Large plane displays are often achieved by combining tiled imaging elements, which give the appearance of a single, seamless display. However, this is difficult to realize in practical use, since differences in color will make the tiles dis-tinct even if the…
Yonggui Zhu, Xiaolan Yang
In this paper, we apply alternating minimization method to sparse image reconstruction in compressed sensing. This approach can exactly reconstruct the MR image from under-sampled k-space data, i.e., the partial Fourier data. The convergence analysis of the f…
Scot I. McNeill
Current methods of order tracking, such as synchronous resampling, Gabor filtering, and Vold-Kalman filtering have undesirable traits. Each method has two or more of the following deficiencies: requires measurement or estimate of rotational speed over time, f…
Rabi N. Panda, Sasmita Kumari Padhy, Siba P. Panigrahi
This paper develops a reduced complexity quasi-1D detector for optical storage devices and digital communication system. Superior performance of the proposed detector is evidenced by simulation results.
Sunita Panda, Sasmita Kumari Padhy, Siba P. Panigrahi
This paper proposes a novel approach for I/Q mismatch compensation. Simulation results proves the superior per-formance of the proposed technique.
Archana Sarangi, Bijay Ketan Panigrahi, Siba Prasada Panigrahi
This paper proposes a novel equalizer, termed here as Evolutionary MPNN, where a complex modified probabilistic Neural Networks (MPNN) acts as a filter for the detected signal pattern. The neurons were embedded with optimization algorithms. We have considered…
Nihar Panda, Siba P. Panigrahi, Sasmita Kumari Padhy
This paper develops an efficient pseudo-random number generator for validation of digital communication channels and secure disc. Drives. Simulation results validates the effectiveness of the random number generator.

Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
Declare all funding sources, conflicts of interest, and ethical approvals (including informed consent and animal-care statements where applicable).
