Soft Nanoscience Letters (SNL) is a newly launched multidisciplinary peer-reviewed journal covering fundamental and applied research in the field of soft nanoscience, which includes polymers and colloids. This will necessarily address nanostructured polymers (e.g. block copolymers), nanocomposites, physical gels, micr…

Using such unique methods of analysis as slow positron beam (SPB), RBS, μ -PIXE (proton microbeam), XRD, SEM with EDS, XPS, nanohardness and elastic modulus measurements, we studied superhar d nanostructure Ti-Si-N coatings, which were deposited using Cathodi…

From the first forecasts and expectations of nanotech nology, in the late 90s, there are many things that have changed and too many expectations not fulfilled. By 2050 , the population is expected to exceed 9 billion peo ple. At that time, or even before, the…

Superhydrophobic poly(vinylidene fluoride) PVDF - SiO 2 composite membranes with different % of SiO 2 contents were prepared by electrospinning. The surface morphologies of the membranes are characterized by using scanning electron microscopy. The nanofibers…

This paper reports a kind of banana peel carbon (BPC) containing -OH, -NH 2 functional groups which prepared through controlling carbonization temperature and its application on the selective adsorption of gold from waste printed circuit boards (PCBs). The ad…

We report here on the synthesis of nanoparticles (NPs) of sodium halide (NaX; X = F, Cl, Br, I) salts using reverse micelles (water/dioctylsodiumsulfosuccinate/toluene) with the resulting NPs having diameters of 1.5 to 2.5 nm. The initial core of reverse mice…

A metalloid Ti 13 Cu 87 target was sputtered by reactive DC magnetron sputtering at various substrate temperatures in an Ar-N 2 mixture ambient. The sputtered species were condensed on Si (111), glass slide and Potsssium bromide (KBr) substrates. The as-depos…

Here we report on the study of vertical alignment of a nematic liquid crystal due to the segregation between perfluorinated and the polysiloxane groups of a multi-component composite alignment material. The measured surface anchoring energy was found to depen…

Recently measured thermal conductivity in single-walled carbon nanotube ropes in the temperature range 8 - 350 K has been explained using an anisotropic dynamical model which not only takes into account the quasi two-dimensional nature of the folded graphene…

In order to investigate the photoalignment mechanism of nematic liquid crystals on an oxadiazoles, new 1,3,4-oxadiazole having fluorine atoms as terminal, as well as sideways was synthesized. Linearly polarized UV light shined in these nano-layered films caus…

In this work, the anataze phase of TiO 2 nanoparticles was prepared by sol gel method. We changed time and temperature of calcinations to change size and property of nanoparticles. The Transmission Electron Microscopy and Scanning Electron Microscopy were use…

Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
