Circuits and Systems (CS) is an international journal dedicated to the latest advancements in circuits and systems. The goal of this journal is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in different areas of circuits and…
Vandana Vikas Thakare, Pramod Singhal
Artificial Neural Network (ANNs) techniques are recently indicating a lot of promises in the application of various micro-engineering fields. Such a use of ANNs for estimating the patch dimensions of a microstrip line feed rectangular microstrip patch antenna…
Shilpi Birla, Neeraj Kumar Shukla, Kapil Rathi, Rakesh Kumar Singh, Manisha Pattanaik
In Present scenario battery-powered hand-held multimedia systems become popular. The power consumption in these devices is a major concern these days for its long operational life. Although various techniques to reduce the power dissipation has been developed…
Mahmood Ashoori Lalimi, Sedigheh Ghofrani
In this paper, we propose an efficient method for license plate localization in the images with various situations and complex background. At the first, in order to reduce problems such as low quality and low contrast in the vehicle images, image contrast is…
Stefano Perticaroli, Nikend Luli, Fabrizio Palma
The paper presents an approximated and compact derivation of the mutual displacement of Floquet eigenvectors in a class of LC tank oscillators with time varying bias. In particular it refers to parallel tank oscillators of which the energy restoring can be mo…
Vasil G. Angelov, Marin Hristov
The paper deals with a lossy transmission line terminated at both ends by non-linear RCL elements. The mixed problem for the hyperbolic system, describing the transmission line, to an initial value problem for a neutral equation is reduced. Sufficient…
Mohamed Mabrouk, Leila Bousbia
Dual band bandpass filter is designed and optimized for RF wireless applications. The performances of that RF dual band filter are improved especially parameters describing the insertion loss, return losses and rejection. Dual-band bandpass filter using stub…
Raj Senani, Kasim Karam Abdalla, Data Ram Bhaskar
A state variable method of converting single-resistance-controlled- oscillators (SRCO), into universal current-mode biquad (offering realizations of all the five standard filter functions namely, low pass, band pass, high pass, notch and all pass) has been hi…
Tadeusz Kaczorek
New tests for checking asymptotic stability of positive 1D continuous-time and discrete-time linear systems without and with delays and of positive 2D linear systems described by the general and the Roesser models are proposed. Checking of the asymptotic stab…
Chin-Hsin Lin, Marek Syrzycki
This paperpresents a single-stage Vernier Time-to-Digital Converter (VTDC) that utilizes the dynamic-logic phase detector. The zero dead-zone characteristic of this phase detector allows for the single-stage VTDC to deliver sub-gate delay time resolution. The…
Jorge Garcia, Antonio J. Calleja, Emilio L. Corominas, David Gacio, Lidia Campa, Ramón E. Díaz
This paper presents an off-line integrated full ballast to supply a 35W assembly of Power LEDs. The proposed solution integrates an input PFC stage (a flyback converter operating in DCM) and a DC-DC output converter (a buck converter) into a single switch pow…
