EPE, a monthly journal, publishes research and review articles in all important aspects of electric power engineering and other professionals involved in the electric power industry. Both experimental and theoretical papers are acceptable provided they report important findings, novel insights, or useful techniques in…
Dorel Soares Ramos, Tesoro Elena Del Carpio-Huayllas, Ricardo Leon Vasquez-Arnez
This article presents the simulation results and analysis related to the response of the generators within a microgrid towards an accidental overload condition that will require some load shedding action. A microgrid overload can occur due to various reasons…
Ayaz Ahmad, Rajaji Loganathan
Solar energy is a fast growing energy resource among the renewable energy resources in the market and potential for solar power is huge to contribute towards the power demand almost in all the countries. To capture the maximum power from the sun light in orde…

It’s well known that the performance of a gas turbine (efficiency, heat rate and power generated) is largely dependent on mass flow rate of air, inlet air temperature and turbine inlet temperature (TIT). As turbine inlet temperature is dependent on quantity o…
Cheng Peng, Chia Jiu Wang
This technical paper takes a study into efficiency comparison between PWM and PFM control modes in DC-DC buck converters. Matlab Simulink Models are built to facilitate the analysis of various effects on power loss and converting efficiency, including differe…
Sahar Bonakdarpour, Farhad Razaghian
Since in designing the full adder circuits, full adders have been generally taken into account, so as in this paper it has been attempted to represent a full adder cell with a significant efficiency of power, speed and leakage current levels. For this objecti…
Yidong Hong, Tao Yu
This paper analyses reliability data of HVDC systems of Southern China Power Grid. The weak links of HVDC systems’ operational reliability are DC control and protection, valve hall and valve cooling system and transmission lines. Some improvement measures and…

EPE, a monthly journal, publishes research and review articles in all important aspects of electric power engineering and other professionals involved in the electric power industry. Both experimental and theoretical papers are acceptable provided they report important findings, novel insights, or useful techniques in… All articles are open access under a CC BY 4.0 licence, with authors retaining copyright.
Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
