The stacking of phenanthroline(phen) ligand within base pair sequences is one of the important factors for the stabilization of metalphen complex within DNA. The stacking ability of this ligand has been assessed to deduce the base pair selectivity as well as…
Lan-Ying Zhu, Guang-Qian Li, Fu-Yin Zheng
The interactions of bovine serum albumin (BSA) with two alkylimidazolium-based ionic liquids, 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate ([bmim]BF4) and 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate ([bmim]PF6), in buffer solutions at pH 7.0 were investi…

Aggregation of alpha-synuclein leads to the formation of Lewy bodies in the brains of patients affected by Parkinson's disease (PD). Native human alpha-synuclein is unfolded in solution but assumes a partial alpha-helical conformation upon transient binding t…
Pradeep Kumar Naik, Piyush Ranjan, Pooja Kesari, Sankalp Jain
Given a protein sequence, how can we identify whether it is a metalloprotein or not? If it is, which main functional class and subclasses it belongs to? This is an important biological question because they are closely related to the biological function of an…

A [ReO(Imz)(Hyd)(H2O)2OH] complex was successfully synthesized by the ligand exchange method using oxorhenuim citrate and an imidazole /Hydanton mixed ligand system. Geometry optimization of complex has been carried out using DFT at the…
M. R. Kabilov, D. V. Pyshnyi
Systematic analysis of factors determining efficiency in discrimination of a point substitution (SNP) within specific DNA sequences was carried out in the context of hybridization approach. There are two types of selectivity that are critical for the rational…
