Journal of Encapsulation and Adsorption Sciences (JEAS) is an international, specialized, English-language journal devoted to publication of original contributions concerning with the processes and technology adsorption and also encapsulation (nano-, micro…) for applications including among others: Biomedical and phar…
Buzuayehu Abebe, H. C. Ananda Murthy, Enyew Amare
Adsorption and photo catalysis are the most popular methods applied for the reduction of amount of pollutants that enter water bodies. The main challenge in the process of adsorption is the demonstration of the experimental data obtained from sorption process…
Xue Fu, Bo Song, Xiaozhen Chen, An Wang, Chun Wang
A highly-controllable core-shell silica-MIPs absorbent by anchoring a MIPs layer to the surface of SiO 2 nanoparticles via a surface molecular imprinting process was prepared. The templates were covalently modified with functional monomers to form precursor E…

Organic solvent free iron oxide nanomaterial used for lead removal was synthesized by co-precipitation method. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), scanning electron microscopic with energy dispersive X-ray analysis (SEM-EDX), X-ray diffraction (X…
Oscar Jordán-Suárez, Patricia Glorio-Paulet, Leslie Vidal
Microstructure is closely related to techno-functional properties in microencapsulated powders intended to protect bioactive compounds. Soursop leaves provide phytochemicals that need to be protected to ensure their functionality. This investigation aimed to…

In this work, the potential of natural and pretreated palm tree trunk (PTT) as agents for adsorption of an organic dye, 2,6-dichlorophenolindophenol (2,6-DCPIP) from aqueous solutions was probed. Natural and acetic acid treated PTT were characterized by Fouri…
Chin-Chuan Wei, Inoka K. Pathiraja, Emily Fabry, Kyle Schafer, Nick Schimp, Tuo-Ping Hu, Lawrence P. Norcio
Acid Yellow 25 (AY25) is used in the textile industry for dyeing of natural and synthetic fibers, and is also used as a coloring agent in paints, inks, plastics, and leathers. Effluents from such industries are major sources of water pollution. Hence, it is i…

Despite a wealth of experimental studies focused on determining and improving mechanical properties and development of fundamental understanding of underlying mechanisms behind nucleation and growth of ductile phase precipitates from melt in glassy matrix, st…
Eiichi Toorisaka, Kikumi Watanabe, Makoto Hirata
Poly(D,L-Lactic-Co-Glycolic Acid) (PLGA) copolymers have been extensively used as controlled-release carriers for many hydrophilic drugs because they are non-toxic, biodegradable, bioavailable, and biocompatible. In general, PLGA particles have been produced…
Patrick Atheba, N’Guadi Blaise Allou, Patrick Drogui, Albert Trokourey
In this work, low cost coconut biochar based activated carbon (CBAC) was used for adsorption of Butylparaben (BPB) from aqueous medium. The prepared CBAC was characterized using BET, Boehm analysis and the adsorption equilibrium, kinetics and thermodynamics s…

Journal of Encapsulation and Adsorption Sciences (JEAS) is an international, specialized, English-language journal devoted to publication of original contributions concerning with the processes and technology adsorption and also encapsulation (nano-, micro…) for applications including among others: Biomedical and phar… All articles are open access under a CC BY 4.0 licence, with authors retaining copyright.
Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
Declare all funding sources, conflicts of interest, and ethical approvals (including informed consent and animal-care statements where applicable).
