The phenomenon of anisotropism in most rolled products necessitates that the rolling direction that enhances desirable mechanical property is established. In this paper, the comparative deep drawability of as-received and annealed mild steel containing about…
Chalamalasetti Srinivasa Rao, Kondapalli Siva Prasad, Damera Nageswara Rao
Nickel alloys had gathered wide acceptance in the fabrication of components which require high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance, such as metallic bellows used in expansion joints used in aircraft, aerospace and petroleum industry. Micro Plasma…
Uyime Donatus, Joseph Ajibade Omotoyinbo, Itopa Monday Momoh
This work studied the feasibility of producing a dual-phase aluminium bronze alloy and the use of selected treatments to manipulate the mechanical properties of the produced alloy using local techniques, as a potential replacement for con- ventional structura…
Rakesh N. Patil, Brihbihari V. Sharma, Prakash A. Mahanwar
A hybrid epoxy resin one pack emulsion with acrylate was synthesized for application in the field of corrosion protec- tion. Electrochemical impedance tests were applied to steel specimens coated with hybrid epoxy and tested after im- mersion in 3.5% NaCl sol…

The High Tension Roll Separator (HTRS) is one of the main electrostatic unit operations employed to separate titanium minerals like ilmenite, rutile and leucoxene which behave as conducting from zircon, sillimanite, garnet and monazite which behave as non-con…
Dakwa Yusufu Kwa, Joseph Olatunde Borode, Itopa Monday Momoh
When joining ductile iron by submerged arc welding technique, a suitable welding speed and current, among other fac- tors, need to be skillfully put in place so as to enhance good welding. This work is based on microstructural examina- tion of preheated ducti…
Saeed N. Ghali, Hoda S. El-Faramawy, Mamdouh M. Eissa
This work aims at the development of carbon steel AISI 1536 through the microalloying addition of boron. Three grades of this steel with different content of boron up to 0.0055% were melted in 100 kg induction furnace. The pro- duced steels were hardened at 9…
Hillol Joardar, Goutam Sutradhar, Nitai Sundar Das
The present paper examines the deformation behavior of solid cylinders of an aluminium alloy metal matrix composite (MMC) undergoing axial compression in a Universal Testing Machine under dry condition. The composite was pre- pared by the stir casting method…
