Oleic acid coated LaF 3 :Ce nanoparticles were synthesized and embedded in polyacrylamide through a two-step procedure. In the first step nanoparticles were synthesized by adopting co-precipitation technique and in the second step, nanoparticles were embedded…
Sudhanshu Shekhar Behera, Jayanta Kumar Patra, Krishna Pramanik, Niladri Panda, Hrudayanath Thatoi
The iron oxide nanoparticles have been synthesized in co-precipitation method using aqueous solution of ferric and ferrous ions with sodium salt. The synthesis of iron-oxide nanoparticles were validated by UV-Visible spectroscopy which showed higher peak at 3…

We propose a novel analytical model to describe the drain-source current as well as gate-source of single-electron transistors (SETs) at high temperature. Our model consists on summing the tunnel current and thermionic contribution. This model will be compare…
Hanxing Zhu, Z. B. Wang, T. X. Fan, D. Zhang
This paper aims to obtain the simple closed-form results for the combined effects of surface elasticity, initial stress/ strain, and material Poisson ratio on the bending stiffness, natural frequency and buckling force of nanowires and nano-plates. The result…

Scherrer Equation, L=Kλ/β .cosθ, was developed in 1918, to calculate the nano crystallite size ( L ) by XRD radiation of wavelength λ (nm) from measuring full width at half maximum of peaks ( β ) in radian located at any 2θ in the pattern. Shape factor of K c…

Carbon nanoparticles were synthesized using lignin as a renewable feedstock by employing a freeze-drying process followed by thermal carbonization. The effect of adding various amounts of KOH to a lignin solution on the solubility of the lignin, the freeze-dr…
Zeinab Kiani, Yaser Abdi, Ezatollah Arzi
In this paper, a novel method of producing nanoparticles at low temperatures using hydrogen bombardment of thin films, deposited on glass substrates, is introduced. Silver nanoparticles were obtained by this method in our Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposi…

The World Journal of Nano Science and Engineering contains original and innovative research pertaining to the applications of the physical, chemical and biological sciences to engineering at nano scale. The highest priority is given to scientific research that transcends the classical boundaries and introduces cutting… All articles are open access under a CC BY 4.0 licence, with authors retaining copyright.
Authors submit their manuscript, metadata, and declarations through the portal. There is no submission fee.
The editorial office screens the manuscript for scope, completeness, and formatting before assigning a handling editor.
At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript under single-blind review. Where revisions are required, authors respond point by point.
On acceptance the article processing charge is invoiced and the CC BY 4.0 copyright handover is signed.
The article is copyedited, typeset, and given a DOI, then publishes open access with a permanent link.
Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Submit in Microsoft Word or LaTeX with figures at 300 dpi minimum. Structure research articles as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
Use the journal's numbered (Vancouver) reference style. Cite sources consecutively in the order they appear, and ensure every reference is complete and retrievable.
