Surface milling of hardened steel is carried out with copious supply of cutting fluid and is obviously associated with problems related to procurement and storage of cutting fluid. The disposal of cutting fluid has to comply with environmental legislation suc…
Jeong-Du Kim, Keon-Beom Lee
In this paper, a studying of surface roughness in dry milling with air pressure coolant of wrought magnesium alloy AZ31B will be carried out. The effects of air flow, feed-rate per tooth, cutting velocity and number of inserts in a cutting tool on surface rou…
Mustapha Hellou
Geometric inversion is applied to two-dimensional Stokes flow in view to find new Stokes flow solutions. The principle of this method and the relations between the reference and inverse fluid velocity fields are presented. They are followed by applications to…
Aida Mezghani, Alain Bellacicco, Jamel Louati, Alain Rivière, Mohamed Haddar
This paper proposes an analysis method of the manufactured tolerances applied to a cylinder head of car engine. This method allows to determine the manufacturing tolerances in the case of angular chains of dimensions and to check its correspondence with the f…
Norizan Mohamad, Pio Iovenitti, Thurai Vinay
Audio applications such as mobile communication and hearing aid devices demand a small size but high performance, stable and low cost microphone to reproduce a high quality sound. Capacitive microphone can be designed to fulfill such requirements with some tr…
Hedi Yangui, Bacem Zghal, Amir Kessentini, Gaël Chevallier, Alain Rivière, Mohamed Haddar, Chafik Karra
This paper presents a numerical modelling of the dynamic behaviour of the Machine-Tool-Part system (MOP) in milling. The numerical study of such complex structure requires the use of sophisticated method like finite elements one. Simulation is employed to pre…
Boshui Chen, Jiang Wu, Jianhua Fang, Weijiu Huang, Jiu Wang
Small amount of lauroyl glutamine was incorporated into HVI 350 mineral lubricating oil and the biodegradabilities of neat oil and the formulated oil in soils were evaluated. Thereafter, the biodegradation rate equations for the two lubricating oils were simu…
A. Ramsaroop, K. Kanny
This work deals with the generation of MATLAB script files that assists the user in the design of a composite laminate to operate within safe conditions. The inputs of the program are the material properties, material limits and loading conditions. Equations…
